1 Month to Go!

32 Days to Go
32 Weeks
It's January 21st.... My Due date is Feb 21st!  One month away.... wow! One month away from going from a family of 3 to a family of 4!  It's so crazy I'm not sure I can quite wrap my head around it.  Where did this pregnancy go?!?  It feels like it is just flying by.  I'm excited. Nervous. So not ready. And ready, all at the same time.  I'm not sure you can ever really be "ready" to have another kid. Life as we know it, is about to change.  I've been very busy "nesting" away trying to prepare our home for a new addition.  In the past few weeks I got the guestroom moved over to the new room, including buying and building all new furniture. I painted the baby room and moved over all of the furniture.  Bought and assembled all new furniture for Hudson turning his room into a "big boy" room.  Plus a handful of other things to spruce up the house :-)  Tonight I'm washing all of Hudson's baby clothes and starting to get everything ready for whenever he chooses to join us.  It's so crazy not knowing when that will be. Or how it will happen!
In comparison to my pregnancy with Hudson, this time around has been a breeze. I've felt great. Well, great for being pregnant. But... I've hit the end. And, I can finally say it's getting tough.  I hurt. A lot.  My pelvic bones ache with every step. My back hurts. My stomach is stretched and uncomfortable all the time. I'm tired. No, I'm exhausted. I just don't have any energy any more.  I'm pretty ready, to be one person again.  I'm having A LOT of contractions. They are worst at night, coming one after another and pretty strong, sometimes very painful.  I try not to focus on the fact that this could last another month.  But, I am healthy! So there's that. Just very, very pregnant.

Hudson is doing great.  He's so much fun and growing and changing in so many ways its incredible.  He talks so much now. Tells us stories, makes up songs, and has a huge imagination.  He is excited about his baby brother. But I also wonder how he will handle having to share the center of the universe :)
It feels like he's growing up so quick.  I guess it probably will always feel like that!

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year.  It will be an exciting one for us, that's for sure.  Hope this new year brings you all many blessings as well!
